Advance Funds Network describes itself as "a financial services company specializing in providing flexible funding solutions to small and medium-sized businesses across the USA and Canada," operating since 2008.

It also runs a referral programme, recruiting partners to "Partner with the Largest Business Loan Referral Network in USA & Canada" and refer deals to it for commission. That describes the network of referrers bringing business to AFN rather than what happens to your application once it arrives, but it is worth knowing that referral flow is part of how the company works.

On its own funding, AFN says: "We provide your business with several funding options until we find the one that works best for you. We never charge any upfront fees."

Published requirements

AFN publishes stated minimums, which puts it among the more transparent partners on requirements:

It also publishes an exclusion, in a footnote on its homepage: "Advance Funds Network does not provide funding for startups."

On its term-loan page it publishes a minimum projected annual revenue of $180,000 and a minimum credit score of 500.

Note that the $180,000 annual figure and the $15,000 monthly figure describe the same floor from two directions: $15,000 a month is $180,000 a year.

Published speed

"Same Day Funding Across USA & Canada." On term loans specifically it publishes "Funding in just 4 hours, with no hidden fees", which is the fastest stated turnaround of any partner we have checked.

Rates

Not published. AFN publishes no APR, interest rate or factor rate. On term loans it states "Set monthly payments and no prepayment penalties," and in its FAQ describes terms ranging "from short-term (less than a year) to long-term (up to 10 years or more)."

Which businesses it tends to suit

Its published minimums point to businesses trading at least a year, doing $15,000 a month or more, with credit from 500 up. The one-year floor is stricter than some partners on trading history and the 500 credit floor is more accommodating than most. Startups are explicitly excluded.

The debt-consolidation product is worth knowing about if you are carrying multiple advances, which is a common position in this market and one that narrows the options at most lenders.
