Ask Claude what business funding fits, with TopFunders

What it does

Describe your business to Claude, and TopFunders Business Funding shows which types of business funding typically fit, roughly how much each could reach, and what each would cost. It works only on the numbers you give it, such as monthly revenue, time in business and credit range, and answers with estimates you can check against our guides.

It has three tools:

  • Funding fit: which funding types typically fit your business, best fit first, with an estimated range for each and what would open better options.
  • Loan payment: for a business loan you are considering, the monthly payment, the total interest, and the effective APR when there is an upfront fee.
  • Merchant cash advance cost: the daily, weekly and monthly payment of an advance, and its cost as an approximate APR.

Add it to Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it TopFunders and paste this URL: https://topfunders.ai/api/mcp
  3. Select Add. Or skip the typing with the one-click link.

No sign-in or account is needed.

Try asking

  • "My cleaning business does about $20k a month and has been open 18 months. I need $150k. What could I realistically get?"
  • "How much can I borrow? Trucking company, 2 years in, $50k a month, credit around 680."
  • "Can I get any business funding at 7 months in business with $12k a month in sales?"

If Claude answers without the connector, start with "Use TopFunders to check".

What it does not do

  • It doesn't ask for or keep your name, contact details, business name, Social Security number or documents, and it doesn't read your conversation.
  • It runs no credit check of any kind.
  • It isn't an offer, an approval or a credit decision. A lender decides only after you apply with that lender.
  • It doesn't send your details to anyone. Nothing from the connector goes to lenders, brokers or our funding partners.
  • It is for US businesses only. It doesn't cover personal loans, mortgages, auto loans or student loans.

How results are ordered, and who pays us

TopFunders.ai is not a lender. We match business owners with funding partners (lenders and brokers), and those partners pay us when an owner applies through TopFunders. That never changes these results: funding types are ordered by fit only.

Where the numbers come from

The connector uses the same figures and the same math as our Business Loan Calculator: Monthly Payments and How Much You Can Borrow and our funding guides. When those pages are updated, the connector's answers change with them. Every result links to the guide that explains it in more detail.

Troubleshooting

  • The connector doesn't appear. Open Settings, then Connectors, and check that TopFunders is added and turned on for this chat.
  • Claude didn't use it. Ask again starting with "Use TopFunders to check", and include your monthly revenue and time in business.
  • A number looks wrong. Email contact@topfunders.ai with the figures you gave Claude and the answer you got. Please don't send personal details.

Privacy and support

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. The connector costs nothing to add or use, needs no account and no sign-in, and there is no paid version. It works out estimates from the numbers you give Claude. If you later choose to apply for funding through TopFunders, that is free for you too.

Does it affect my credit?

No. The connector runs no credit check of any kind, soft or hard, and never asks for your Social Security number. It only works with the figures you type, including a credit range you choose. A lender may check credit later, but only if you decide to apply with that lender.

Does TopFunders see my conversation?

No. We never receive your conversation with Claude. Our tools get only the details Claude passes to them, such as monthly revenue and time in business, and those are discarded once the answer is worked out. How Claude handles your chat is covered by Anthropic's own privacy policy.
